The aim of the company is to offer independent film-makers and production companies a convenient alternative to the expensive costs of hiring equipment for productions. Moniton began with a Sony HDV camera and tripod and HDV editing suite, but as customers hired equipment the stock increased to include lighting, a dolly with aluminium track, car mount, 5m crane, and more HDV cameras to offer more of a selection to the Scottish film community.
